A popular alternative to fibre optic cabling, blown fibre has certain advantages, lending itself to simpler planning and installation, flexibility and growth, and is very cost effective, whilst still providing speedy connections. One fibre strand can carry 10GB of data/second or over 3,000 telephone conversations.

As the process uses compressed air to blow both single and bundles of fibres through the meandering routes of ducts, once buried further fibres can be added quickly without excavating so that you only need to pay for the expansions.
